EXECUTIVEÂ PRODUCER, RUDE MECHANICALS
2020 - Current
Rude Mechanicals is a University of Michigan student run theatre group fostering community and inciting creativity by providing students across the University the opportunity to work on all aspects of a full-scale production. From costumes, to actors, to set design, directors, stage managers and producers, all aspects of a Rude Mechanicals production are run by students, in collaboration with University faculty and resources. Michael Newberry and Christopher Nitchie founded Rude Mechanicals in the Fall of 1996. Since then, Rude Mechanicals has consistently produced one dramatic play each academic semester in either the Lydia Mendelssohn or Arthur Miller Theatre.
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, MATCHSTICK THEATRE
2019 - Current
Matchstick Theatre is a Calvin Dramatic Society Summerstock program for children and young adults. We are a startup theatre company based in Grandville, Michigan, offering an array of programs: a Kids Day Camp for 1st-4th graders, a Kids Day Camp for 5th-8th graders, and a show for current high school students (9th-12th graders). Founded and run entirely by Calvin Dramatic Society Alumni, we aim to offer performance and backstage opportunities to kids who may otherwise not get to experience theatre.
DONATIONS MANAGER, Grandville Calvin Christian Schools
2019-2020
Grandville Christian School's annual fundraiser, Student Performance Night, was founded in 2019 by Samuel Aupperlee and Nicole Ebels, who wanted to see the high school's arts funding increase. The event centers new work, showcasing student-written plays, student directing work, and student acting. All funds from this annual event are given directly to the High School Dramatic Department.
